Chambor Silver Shadow Compact “RR5-Noisette” Review and Swatches

This isn’t a product which I brought, but my sis brought. A compact refill is free with this and so, I used the refill for a month for review purpose although the shade doesn’t match my skin. The refill would be hardly of any use to her since till date even I haven’t finished a compact, although I have hit the bottom of the compacts. This shade is a little darker than my skin tone but it matches closely with her skintone. She has a medium shade skintone.

Chambor Silver Shadow compact has a very smooth, light and velvety texture.
            It blends in very neatly.
The finish is very natural matte. It doesn’t give the illusion of a “made-up” look.
The coverage is between sheer-medium but quite presentable for my blemished face.
The puff provided is really good quality. It’s not thin and picks a good amount of product at a go. It’s also responsible for the good oil control part.
I think the shade “RR5” will go nicely for medium warm skin tones. The shade has a little orange undertone and therefore, I thought it would oxidize but it did not.
This will work nicely for normal-oily skinned beauties. This is because it does a good job at oil control too and for normal skin, it keeps the oil away for long and gives a very smooth finish.
For very oily skinned people like me, I wouldn’t recommend this if you particularly want to buy it for oil control part. Even Colorbar Fairness Compact would work well then. But if you are okay with constant re-touchps, this will be a good option since the finish is soft.
It caused no pimples/bumps on my acne skin. It’s non-comedogenic!
Since the powder is really soft, you can even use it to set the under eye concealer.
This compact is water-resistant too. I somehow find it to be true because even after a lot of sweating, my fair skin hadn’t turned dark and dull when I was wearing it.
The shade selection is a turn off for dusky skin tones. “RR5” shade is the darkest of the lot! Sigh!

This is one compact which I feel works nicely for all skin types, leaving very oily skin. It works for my sis who has a normal-combination skin, for me when I have oily skin and for my friend too, upon a moisturizer who has a dry skin. The price is good for the quantity (equals to 32gm with refill). The natural finish and very smooth texture is what makes it worth its money, plus the free refill too. You can use on setting the under eye concealer and the other for your face!
