NOTD- Maybelline Color Show Nail Enamels “Kiss me Pink” & “Wine and Dine”

I had just casually gone to a small retail shop to accompany my mom 3 days back and when I saw these new nail polishes laying in a small stack there, my eyes literally popped out and the Sales lady there could see me flashing all my teeth out, with the curve of my smile going as high as I could afford. I bet she had a mini heart attack! (New launches come in extremely late in North region!)

I picked up three of these and I only spotted 7-8 shades there. I am so glad the names are perky and cute!
“Kiss me Pink” is a magenta pink shade with purple hue. It looks so lovely. I wish it could call it duochrome but I don’t think it is. It goes opaque in two coats.
“Wine and Dine” is a beautiful duochrome nail polish. It’s a blackened brown base with bronze flicks. I am calling it duochrome because under the sunlight, it gives a golden shimmery effect at an angle.  It’s sheer in first coat and gets opaque in three coats.
The swatches you see are after 3 days of their application, without any top coat. Their dry time is average. Don’t expect super fast speed. The brush is a little broad which is to my liking.
Comparing these to Elle 18 nail pops,
Elle 18 nail pops come for Rs.50 for 5ml whereas these come for Rs.75 for 6ml. Both the packagings are cute but the main difference is that Elle 18 nail pops mostly stain. I didn’t see them doing that. Although, I do find the quantity less where the formula is sheer.
But I’m looking forward to trying more shades.
