Ecotools 5 Piece Mineral Makeup Brush Set Review

Ecotools is known for its cruelty free and affordable brushes and that’s what attracts me the most to this company.
This brush set includes a kabuki brush, a mineral powder brush, a concealer brush and an eye shading brush.

Before moving on to individual reviews of the brushes, let me start by saying that these brushes are incredibly soft and haven’t shed or lost their color. All of them dry fast, too.
Mineral Powder Brush: I use this brush mostly for blush application. It helps in blending of the blushes seamlessly. The bristles are very soft. And, since they don’t pick up much colour at one go, it’s great using this brush for lighter application or for blushes that are very pigmented.
Concealer Brush: A very nice brush. The bristles are packed tight and it helps in applying under eye concealer nicely without any streaks. But since I use fluffy brushes to blend out my under eye concealer, I use this mostly when I want a single wash of eye shadow onto my eye lids.
Blending brush: I can’t use this brush for blending eye shadows since it’s big for my small eyes. Also, since the bristles are a little loose, it won’t help in blending very precisely although it will do a good job.  What I use this for is contouring my nose. It works great in that area. It can also be used for highlighting the cheek bones although I never needed to since my super oily face itself is a highlighter.
Kabuki brush: I love the name! Kabuki! It’s good for lighter application of powder products, especially loose powder or compact.
I brought this brush set from E-bay for around Rs.380 and with free shipping( 4 months back, I guess!). I so wanted to include these brushes in my giveaway (next month) but with the rupee falling, I’m afraid I won’t be able to.
It also comes with a pouch that can be used for travelling purpose.
In short, “Ecotools 5 Piece Mineral Makeup Brush Set” is very good value for money!
