Colorbar Blemish Balm/BB Cream Review and Swatch

Till date, I have tried Maybelline Clear Glow BB StickGarnier BB Cream , L’oreal BB CreamPonds BB Cream and none has proved provided even average oil control on my super oily skin! Although I loved using Garnier BB Cream in winters since my skin turns dry then and it provides a sheer coverage but gives a fresh glow on my face for long.

I seriously don’t know what made me jump into buying one more BB cream (I must have dropped my brains somewhere that day..hmmm!) and so, I’m presenting you the newly launched Colorbar BB Cream in shade “002,Honey”.

Colorbar BB Cream comes in an easy tube packaging.
The texture is very light. It feels water based and blends easily into skin with just a few pats.
It provides a sheer coverage but succeeds in giving quite a presentable look for my blemished face.
Also, when I blotted my face in between, it transferred a little to my blotting sheets!
On my super oily skin, the staying power is quite low in regard of oil control but better than all the other BB Creams I have tried. This will work quite well for oily/combination skinned people.
Also, since the coverage is so sheer, I felt it had almost evaporated when I saw my face wearing this after some 6 hours.
The SPF is very low, SPF 20.
            It provides no glow.
–      People with a lot of uneven skin tone/blemishes might want to skip this because of the sheer coverage.
Now, the bummer is the shade selection again! The Colorbar SA matched me to this shade saying that it’ll adapt into my skin shade after a few minutes. I told her to swatch all the three shades. The 003 shade was too dark and the 001 wasn’t available at that time. But the SA convinced me into buying this saying 001 shade is very pink and this shade will transform into my skin shade. I believed her because there actually are some BB Creams that are meant to  adapt to one’s skin shade.
But this shade remained the same even after hours. It’s too yellow for my skin. See the swatch.

I don’t recommend this BB Cream to anyone. It may work for oily/combination skinned people (Underneath moisturizer/topped with compact) but not in hot/humid environment. And, for the price tag, there are much better options. If you are still keen on trying this, go ahead, wear it for some hours and see if it wears well, along with the shade problem.
I’ll soon do a comparison post on all the BB Creams soon, after I’m done reviewing the last BB Cream! 😛
