Maybelline Clear Glow BB Stick Review and Swatch

Hey everyone!
Today, I would be reviewing the latest launch from “Maybelline”- Maybelline Clear Glow BB Stick.
Maybelline Clear Glow BB Stick comes in an easy packaging with twist up mechanism. The quantity is a lot. I like to use this with a brush and not directly applying the stick on my face.
For reference, my oily skin has made a comeback and in a few days, my oily skin will go and my super oily skin will make a comeback.
The texture of the stick is creamy and blends easily. Even dry skinned girls can use it easily after using a good moisturizer. There have been introduced only two shades in this range. The shade “02 Radiance” is for fair skinned girls. This shade is like two times lighter than my skin tone. And, has reddish undertones to it. But it’s fine since for summers, I use foundation that is two shades lighter than my skin tone. This is because after some time, the oil from my skin gets anyway mixed in the foundation and if I use a foundation that’s exactly my shade, my face gets dark. The shade doesn’t looks artificial on my face by any means. The other shade “fawn” is quite dark. Shade selection is bad.
The finish is a soft matte look, it evens out the skin tone nicely, hides pores nicely, has SPF 21, UVA protection and provides a little coverage for my acne scars. Though the face in terms of presentation is very nice actually.
I had applied this in morning around 11:00 AM and when I came back home at 5:00 PM, my oily face still had a glow and hadn’t darkened. It didn’t transfer at all. In between these hours, I was under the scorching sun for about 2 hours. Now though my face still looked presentable wearing this for 6 hours, but it had made my skin greasy and oily within an hour only. Yes! Imagine my plight because I didn’t had my bag during these 6 hours. My oily face looked for sure nice after 6 hours but my skin felt way too greasy. The feeling was very uncomfortable. I think the reason why my face still hadn’t darkened and looked presentable even after 6 hours though the greasiness was there, it’s because it’s sweat proof and sebum resistant.
This may work for combination/dry skinned girls but for someone like me, who’s skin is too oily, this stick makes skin greasy within an hour only, making it uncomfortable on skin. I can’t keep using blotting tissues every hour, everyday.
Also, since this contains “salicylic acid”, make sure the ingredient suits you.

The formula otherwise is too good, but the oil control part is really bad. I wouldn’t want to use this in the upcoming hot summers of Delhi.
