Rujuta Diwekar’s books have been such an inspiration for me in my weight loss journey. A big thanks to her. I have learnt a lot from her books and fitting in dresses is not the only reason for me to lose weight, but also to take care of my skin and hair has encouraged me for all this. I am going to share the four principles of eating right as mentioned in her book by her that have helped me a lot and hope it’s of help to you too. 

1)    Never wake up to tea or coffee. Instead eat a real food within 10-15 minutes of waking up.
This will result in:
        Increase in blood sugar and energy levels.
        Increase in metabolic rate and fat burning.
        Decrease in acidity and bloating.
        Decreased chances of overeating later in the day.
        Stabilise blood sugar level throughout the day.
2)     Eat Every 2 hours.
This will result in:
        A conducive environment in the body to burn fat.
        Fewer calories converted to fat.
        Less dependence on stimulants.
        Smarter thinking.
        Flatter stomach.
3)     Eat more when you are more active and less when you are less active.
This will result in:
        Eating more food when you are more active will make your body an efficient calorie burner.
        Will increase the metabolic rate of your body.
        Help you stay energetic through the day.
        Will help you lose fat more effectively.
4)     Finish your last meal at least 2 hours prior to sleeping.
This will result in:
        You get a sound sleep since food is digested.
        Will make your body more efficient in burning fat.
        Crucial for long term health, change in body composition, decrease in fat weight, glowing complexion and acne free skin.
