Finally, I don’t need any bb cream!! My search for the most natural looking and long staying foundation has ended with Lotus Herbals Pure Stay Foundation SPF 20.  Though the foundation range has only 4 shades, but I must say they are very versatile and would suit a lot of Indian skin tones ranging from light to medium to dark skin tones. And, I so love the label “100% vegetarian” on it.

Lotus Herbals pure stay foundation SPF 20 comes in a box and has a nozzle without a cap to dispense the foundation. Sigh! Why didn’t you make the cap? Why?

I have the lightest shade i.e. Bright Angel. It has a lot of pink undertones ( it can’t be made out in the swatch picture) and it suits me perfectly. I use concealer which is two times darker than my actual shade and after applying this foundation; my face looks oh-so-natural and glowing. I have always liked my foundations to have a bit of pink undertones since they make my face glow.

As I said, Lotus Herbals Pure Stay Foundation SPF 20 is the most natural looking foundation I ever had. It’s very difficult to make out that one is actually wearing a foundation!

The coverage is medium to heavy. It’s very much buildable and easily covers my acne scars but redness can still be made out lightly.

Coming to its staying power, it’s awesome. I’m having a combination skin these days and it stays on my face without compact/loose powder for more than 6 hours and still keeping my face fresh after those 6 hours.  But the real test would be in summers! Wahahaha!

It covers moderate dark circles very nicely.

        It’s preservative free.

The texture is very light and that’s why it provides such natural looking coverage.

Though it can be worked with fingers and foundation brushes both, stippling brush provided me the best coverage with it. But again, fingers too worked best.

The finish provided by it is in between dewy and matte but very natural looking. It photograps well.

It hasn’t made me break out.

        It doesn’t transfers, oxidizes.

For this quality, I don’t find the price inexpensive but the cap factor is annoying. Really!

Okie! I said ‘natural’ like 5-6 times but ‘m really liking this foundation these days. I would update about this foundation again when summers arrive and my skin turns to an oil producing factory. And, I sincerely hope I don’t find the price tag expensive then. Have you triedLotus Herbals Pure Stay Foundation SPF 20 ?

Price: Rs. 595

Quantity: 30 ml

Vanitycasebox: 4.6/5 (Cap, Cap, Cap.. You shouldn’t have left that gap)

UPDATE:
I have been using this foundation in summers and this doesn’t controls oil on my oily skin for more than 2 hours. It doesn’t turns my face dark because of the oilyness and sweat but this won’t be suitable for people like me who have a super oily skin in summers.
