Maybelline color show intense crayon Vibrant violet review, swatches
I went to Lifestyle only to pick up the new Maybelline color jolt intense lip paints. But as always, my eyes automatically started scanning the other stuff also on the counter and that’s when I discovered these. I was shocked that the SA didn’t even tell me about them. Isn’t she supposed to be more excited about new launches than me?
*Time to regain composure*
So, I decided to check out the shades. I was sure they were going to be blah. That was until I laid my eyes on ‘Vanity violet’.
Maybelline color show intense crayon comes Vanity violet in a color-coded packaging with a retractable mechanism to avoid product wastage. The shade name is mentioned at the bottom and other details like price, expiry, quantity are written on the body.
The crayon fits perfectly into the hands. I like how the texture glides softly and fills lip lines well to create an even finish. I am glad that the creaminess is just the right amount as it doesn’t cling to any dry patches on lips. You will notice that the finish turns into a soft matte within some minutes as it loses its sheen. It kinda looks like a tattoo stain.
The pigmentation of Maybelline color show intense crayon Vibrant violet is intense- full coverage in one swipe. It has a fruity scent which I can detect only if I bring my nose close to the crayon. I don’t like it but I don’t mind as it’s not strong.
Avon ultra color bold lipstick ‘Hi-def Plum’- A lighter version of Maybelline color show intense crayon Vibrant violet
As for the staying power, it is strong. The initial creaminess does transfer slightly when you’re eating and drinking. However, the stain it leaves behind does not disappear. Even after having a full meal, there’s a lot of color left on the lips.
